If this NASCAR season couldn’t get off to a crazier start, Team XTREME driver Travis Kvapil had his car for this weekend’s Sprint Cup Series race stolen from outside a hotel in Atlanta Thursday night.
Front Row Motorsports driver David Ragan has been chosen as the substitute for Kyle Busch in the no. 18 M&Ms Camry for at least the next few weeks, beginning this weekend in Atlanta.
NASCAR driver Kurt Busch was indefinitely suspended from the circuit Friday after a judge ruled that Busch had choked and beat former girlfriend Patricia Driscoll last September. After the suspension was announced, someone took a black magic marker and wrote “#41 Ray Rice” on the window of Busch’s garage at the Daytona Speedway.
Attorney Rusty Hardin released a statement accusing Patricia Driscoll of making up a domestic abuse incident because she couldn’t get over the relationship being over. He also claims that she has already tried to negotiate a financial settlement with NASCAR driver Kurt Busch.
Still, beyond the indisputable profitability that speed limits provide the US government and states, there are numerous other reasons why the US doesn’t have a highway similar to Germany’s Autobahn, and appears unlikely to build one in the near future.
